The u12s continued their excellent rugby season with a 38-5 win. Their rugby was brilliant throughout and the accuracy of passing and off-loading ensured that Shiplake played an attractive and fast-paced game. Whilst it was the backs who scored the forwards did the hard work with the tackling and rucking particularly impressive. Special mention to Milo Macmillan who came on and made some massive tackles!
Try scorers: Bowcock x2, Colfer, Hendry, Benett x2
Conversions: Colfer x3, Frisby
The u13s faced a tough test against Abingdon as the visitors arrived with some powerful looking forwards. Shiplake found the start of the match tough and went three tries down after 20 minutes. However, the boys worked hard and increased the physicality of their play. Shiplake's 'big men' Angus Munro, James Vizard, Miles Bridgman and Henry Blois-Brooke started carrying well and hitting rucks and Shiplake were rewarded with an excellent try after Henry B-B turned over a ruck, Kieran Leach ran with the ball and passed to Miles Bridgman who crashed over for the score. Unfortunately, Abingdon's strength was too much and they scored another 4 tries in the second half to win 41 - 5.
