The u13 team were defeated 12-5 by Lord Wandsworth's College last Saturday. Shiplake were suffering with a few injuries but appeared to be the better team in the first half, unfortunately a number of scoring chances in the first 10 minutes were not taken. Towards the end of the first half both teams scored tries.
In the second half Lord Wandsworth's extra power began to tell and they set up camp on the Shiplake try line. Now it was their turn to squander scoring chances much to the annoyance of their increasingly noisy coach! Unfortunately the pressure was too much for Shiplake's defence and Lord Wandsworth scored a late try to win the game.
Thanks to Mr Starr for another picture.
